Routine Appointments

Routine appointments can be made four weeks in advance by telephoning any time of the day. If you have a problem that comes on acutely and you wish to be seen quickly please telephone at 7:00am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00am Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday and 9:00am on Saturdays to get an appointment. You will need to be prepared to see any of the practitioners available for appointments at short notice. If all appointments are booked you will be offered the option of nurse / doctor / healthcare practitioner triage who will give you the necessary advice or allocate you an emergency appointment.

Please inform the surgery if at any time you are unable to keep your appointment.

Test Results

Following a blood or urine test the results are usually available after five working days. Please contact reception between 2.00pm and 4.00pm to check if the results are back first before booking an appointment. X-ray results and other tests can take between 2-4 weeks to be sent back to us. Again, please check with reception first.

Repeat Prescriptions

As a registered patient repeat prescriptions may be issued to you if you require medication. Please allow at least 48 hours for the prescription to be prepared.

Tick the items on the prescription counterfoil and leave at reception. Alternatively, you can post or fax (0844 815 1142) it to the surgery. Please enclose an SAE if you wish the prescription to be posted back to you.

Sick Notes

You are legally entitled to self certificate for any illness lasting less than five working days (or seven if includes weekend). The self certificate form should be available from your employer. For illnesses longer than five working days you can get a sick note (white Med 3 form) from the doctor. If you require a sick note for less than five days it will be a private sick note at the GP’s discretion and will cost £15 payable by either yourself or your employer.
